How a Password Equb round actually runs

Same rotating pot Ethiopians already use — with verification, bank receipts, and a lottery you can watch.

  1. 1. Create your account

    Download Password Equb, register with your Ethiopian phone number, and set a PIN. Choose Amharic, English, or Afaan Oromoo on first launch.

  2. 2. Complete KYC

    Upload a valid ID, personal details, and financial information (bank and account holder). This is required for AML/KYC and for payouts to reach the right person.

  3. 3. Join a circle

    Browse Money Equbs (daily, weekly, monthly), Car, House, Travel, or Special Finance. Before you join you see share size, expected amount, member count, start date, and service charge. Accept the terms in-app.

  4. 4. Pay each round

    Transfer to the company bank accounts shown in the app and upload the receipt from Pending Equbs. Admin confirms the payment. Late or missing rounds follow the penalties in the terms.

  5. 5. Sunday lottery

    Draws run weekly on Sundays at 9:00 AM and are broadcast live in the app. One member wins that round. Car Equbs typically complete over three years; cash Equbs follow the duration of the circle you picked.

  6. 6. Claim your turn

    When you win, claim from the Equb detail screen under Lotteries. Guarantors may be required depending on the circle. Emergency “Request” on Special Equbs asks admin to award early — it is reviewed, not automatic.

  • You must be 18+, hold a valid ID, and complete KYC.
  • Only one person wins a given Equb round.
  • Vehicle prices on Car Equbs can move with the market; updates are posted in the app.
